Climb Shields are manufactured from 24 gauge galvanized steel and are 8 feet high. It is suggested that they be attached with #10 x 3/4Â self tapping sheet metal screws for ease of removal if necessary. Climb shields can also be used to enclose ballasts.
Uses:
Last number designation on climb shield corresponds to tower section it will be installed on. e.g. CS-5 on a DMX-5 or LTX-5 tower section.
Installation:
Separate climb shields. Place climb shield under one upright leg of tower . Slide sideways to center, under both legs. Use #10 x 3/4Â self tapping sheet metal screws to attach climb shield to cross braces. A 1/8 inch pilot hole is recommended for ease of installation
